Frequently askedquestions

Where can I do yoga in Kraków's Kazimierz district?

In Kazimierz, at św. Agnieszki 1/27, close to Wawel Castle, you'll find turcio: a soulful, atmospheric yoga and wellbeing studio. We run vinyasa, hatha flow, slow flow & yin and healthy spine yoga classes in small groups, along with meditation, workshops and sound concerts. Bookings go through Fitssey.

Does turcio offer yoga classes for beginners?

Yes, no previous experience is needed for our classes. For people starting from zero or returning after a break, we run Fundamentals of Yoga: six 75-minute sessions in a small group, led by Dominika Karolczyk. On regular classes, the teacher also shows variations for different levels.

How many people are in a class?

Groups are capped at ten people. That lets the teacher see everyone, come over and suggest a variation suited to that person's body and day, rather than just teaching from the front of the room.

How do I book a class at turcio?

Bookings run through Fitssey (app.fitssey.com/turciostudio), where you can see open spots in the schedule. You can also message us on WhatsApp or by email if you'd like help choosing your first class.

How much does a yoga class at turcio cost?

A single class costs 60 PLN. A 4-class pass is 200 PLN and a 6-class pass is 300 PLN. Passes are valid for 30 days from purchase; unused classes do not carry over. For beginners there is also the Foundations course: six 75-minute sessions for 499 PLN. Mats and all props are included.

Do I need any yoga experience to attend?

No. Classes are open to people with no experience at all — you don't need to be flexible, fit, or prove anything. The teacher shows more than one variation of each pose at every class.

What should I bring to my first yoga class?

Comfortable clothes you can move freely in are enough — yoga leggings aren't required. It also helps to bring socks and a jumper for the end of class, when the body cools down during relaxation, plus water if you like having it nearby. Mats, blocks, straps, blankets and bolsters are provided on site, included in the class price.

What should I wear to a yoga class?

Anything comfortable you can move freely in: joggers, loose trousers, a T-shirt. No special leggings needed. We practise barefoot and you leave your shoes at the entrance to the room.

How early should I arrive?

Ideally 10 minutes early. That gives you time to set up your mat and tell the teacher it is your first time.

Can I rent a room at turcio for workshops?

Yes. We rent the studio room to people running their own classes and workshops (up to twelve people) and the treatment room to therapists and practitioners seeing clients one to one. Both rooms are in Kazimierz, in a tenement house on św. Agnieszki. We send details and pricing by email after you get in touch.

Does turcio host private events, like hen parties?

Yes, we run private events on request: hen parties, birthdays, gatherings for family or company teams. These can take place at our studio, at your place, or outdoors — we bring mats and instruments with us. Message us on WhatsApp or by email to arrange the details.

How do I get to turcio in Kazimierz?

The nearest tram stops are Stradom and Wawel, and there is paid street parking nearby. At św. Agnieszki 1 you will find a large gate: dial 27 on the intercom. Walk straight through the courtyard, past the playground, and you will see the staircase entrance on the right. Dial 27 again and take the stairs up to the second floor. The door will be open.

Does turcio hold sound concerts?

Yes, we regularly run relaxation concerts and sound evenings with crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, gong and saxophone, including with Sławomir Pezda (sLOVEmed). During the concert you lie down on a mat and the sound does the rest. Dates and bookings are on the Fitssey schedule.
